Istisarelism is a proposed theoretical framework for human–AI deliberation focused on reasoned objections, evidence-grounded evaluation, mutual correction, and human epistemic autonomy. Its purpose is neither to presume that humans are always right nor to treat AI answers as inherently reliable. Instead, it explores how justified criticism can reduce the risk of shared error.
This public-facing essay by Ali Değişmiş introduces the questions that motivated the framework, its goals, and the development from Version 3.0 to Version 4.0.
Version 3.0 emphasizes fallibility, proportionate objection, epistemic autonomy, and reasoned termination. Version 4.0 further examines consistent evidential standards for human and AI objections, how to distinguish reason-based correction from sycophantic agreement, and nine candidate controls associated with the ÖNSEZİ research program.
This is a personal explanatory essay, not a peer-reviewed academic paper. The referenced research publications are theoretical preprints; independent empirical superiority has not been demonstrated.
